Hailing from Southwestern Ontario, Canada,contemporary painter, Barbara Shore now resides and operates her studio in St. Albert, Alberta.Barbara has been painting mix media for over 20 years and has graduated fro the University of Albertas with a certificate of Fine Art.
Barbara has always been drawn to figures. Her depiction of the email form captures a fleeting moment, immersing the viewer in a timeless world, to engage their emotions, stimulate memories and build connections.
Abstract painting has become an enhanced form of expression which moves well beyond the traditional brush. This incorporates non traditional tools and methods in both figurative and abstract creations. For Shore, painting has become an unconscious process of emotional expression.
Barbara has been juried in shows in Alberta and British Columbia. She is a member of local, national and international art societies. She was recently juried into the International Society of Experimental Artist show “Pushing Boundaries 2020”. Shore won an award in the juried shoe presented by the International Society of Acrylic Painters 11th Annual International Online Exhibition 2020.
